This outdoor installation consists of a telephone hooked up to a modified ringdown circuit and a television monitor in the store window. the telephone rings until you pick it up. on the monitor are two video images, one of someone's legs running and an empty telephone booth. if you pick up the telephone, someone appears at the telephone booth. there is no communication. no sound being transmitted. if you hang up the phone, the other person hangs up as well. you never connect/speak with the person.
